The text is dedicated to the memory of Father Antoni Siemianowski (1930-2022) — professor of philosophy, graduate of the Catholic University of Lublin. The article is the most extensive elaboration of the biography of Reverend Professor Siemianowski so far, along with the tracing of his philosophical views—it gathers preceding publications about the Reverend Professor and synthesizes them. The author intended to indicate the most important moments in the life of this clergyman and philosopher, who stayed in the memory of the academic circles of Kujawy and Wielkopolska—mostly in Inowrocław, where he came from, and Gniezno, with which he was associated as a lecturer for over half-century. The text analyzes the intellectual path of Father Professor from school education, through philosophical and theological studies, doctoral studies, and finally the search for ”his own path in philosophy”—the way from the history of philosophy, through Thomism to phenomenology. It should be noted that Father Siemianowski was not only involved in academic work, but as a Catholic presbyter he was a priest who, by teaching future priests, formed a style of thinking in them, in accordance with the principle that "philosophy is the servant of theology". Another area of Father Siemianowski's activity was journalism—establishing cooperation with many magazines, he popularized knowledge in the field of ethics, philosophy of culture and philosophical anthropology.
