This article constitutes a fragment of the Master's entitled "The Byzantine idea of theosis in the paschal theology of Father Waclaw Hryniewicz", written in the section of moral theology in the Seminar of Lodz. The theological understanding of theosis in the West and the Christian East as well as that of Hryniewicz form the objective of this article. Referring to the Polish publications of orthodox and Catholic theologians, the relation between the idea of theosis and the paschal mystery has been presented, especially since the deification is accomplished by the Incarnation and the paschal mystery only in the case where it is believed in Jesus Christ and in His salutary mission. It is for this reason that the Byzantine idea of theosis can become an important approach allowing a deepening of the moral theology especially with the help of the paschal theology of the prof. Hryniewicz.

The author recalls Klepacz's unique work on the poet Karol Hubert Rozstworowski. He untiedly presents his research on literature in the monographic study on God's idea of August Cieszkowski's philosophy of history and in others works. It follows ideas from Konrad Górski. This is the activity of Bishop Klepacz concerning the jury problem of the Polish Bishops' Prize in 1949 which, apart from scientific research, is the subject of this paper.

This was the lectures given by Bishop Klepacz on the radio which remain worthy of mention. Unfortunately they are almost unknown. This communication constitutes an analysis test lectures given on Vatican radio during Second Vatican Council. In the conference texts Bishop Klepacz reveals himself as a man of dialogue with the contemporary world and with the people of his time. The bishop passionate about the love of the Church and at the same time a great humanist knew how to find the place of the Gospel in the modern world. He also stays for us an exceptional example of the dialogue in Poland where we can observe so many tensions between the secular world and Catholicism. Bishop Klepacz's sermons can encourage us to participate actively in the Church's dialogue with the world today.

Based on Sedlak's "Technology of the Gospel", the author presents reflections on the Good News from two points of view: the physicist who seeks the truth about the Creator and the created world, and the mystic who contemplates it (the author benefits from it from Faustyna Kowalska's book entitled "Divine Mercy in My Soul").

Reflection on the formation of the NT canon often neglects the internal claims of the NT texts themselves in favor of a focus on their reception. However, while it is clear the canonical Gospels present the teaching of Jesus as authoritative, the intended authority of the written Gospel texts themselves has mostly been dismissed or even ignored by critical biblical scholars. However, this position is now being reconsidered, and the exegesis of particular texts may prove to counter the former assumption. The present article argues that there are four stages of revelation implicit within the Fourth Gospel. The author uses select narratorial insertions to convey the disciples’ post-resurrection remembrance, understanding and belief (2:22; 12:16; 20:9) as the uniting of the OT scripture (γραφή) and the revelatory word (λόγος) of Jesus as one divinely inspired and authoritative message revealed by the Holy Spirit (14:25–26). Consequently, the evangelist’s very writing of the Gospel transcribes this revelation for his readers (20:31) in order that they may believe and have life. John’s Gospel thus presents an internal claim for itself to its readers as “scripture,” through which the signs of Jesus, the reality of his life-giving death and resurrection and his very presence can be experienced by later readers and disciples.

Throughout the New Testament, we find exhortations to imitate or follow in the steps of Christ, Paul and even some other godly people. In the Epistle to the Philippians, we find this exhortation to imitate incorporated into a Pauline theology of progressive sanctification. Sanctification in Philippians is portrayed as a conforming to Christ through the knowledge of Him, which comes through tripartite means of the Word of God (the Apostolic teaching), the internal work of God’s Spirit and the imitation of Christ, the Apostle Paul and other godly examples. We will aim at forming a biblical theology of sanctification through imitation restricted in our analysis to the Epistle of Philippians. First part of the article reviews the teaching of sanctification in Philippians, with an emphasis on passages where Paul directly addresses this issue: Philippians 1:9-11, 27-29; 2:12-16; 3:1-15. Second part of the article introduces us to biblical teaching on imitation, and then it reviews a downward spiral of imitation: imitating Christ (Phil. 2:5), imitating Paul (Phil. 3:17a; 4:9) and imitating Paul’s faithful imitators (Phil. 3:17b). In the conclusion, we will see that imitation of Christ and His faithful imitators is a means of progressive sanctification that is both important and often neglected, both by those who should serve as primary examples of godliness (spiritual leaders) and those who need to learn by imitating.

This paper was created as a result of discussions with the students from the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Osijek, as part of the Introduction into Philosophy course. In the paper we used parts of Luka Đukić’s essay, “Memorial Centers: The Role of Memory,” which have, as part of dialogue regarding the role of memory, been inserted into the text by J. Mladenovska-Tešija. The purpose of the paper is to emphasize the relevance of Ricoeur’s reflections about memory for Evangelical Christians, especially considering Christ’s death on Calvary as an anti-narrative.

In this paper, we will explore liberation theology as defined by Gustavo Gutierrez, who is considered to be its founder. We will use it as an example to show how secular philosophy, and Marxism in particular, can influence Christianity and create new theological directions and movements. Also, we will see if there are some of its principles which we can freely accept as Christians, and which of them do we need to take with a grain of salt.
