Summary/Abstract: This article constitutes a fragment of the Master's entitled "The Byzantine idea of theosis in the paschal theology of Father Waclaw Hryniewicz", written in the section of moral theology in the Seminar of Lodz. The theological understanding of theosis in the West and the Christian East as well as that of Hryniewicz form the objective of this article. Referring to the Polish publications of orthodox and Catholic theologians, the relation between the idea of theosis and the paschal mystery has been presented, especially since the deification is accomplished by the Incarnation and the paschal mystery only in the case where it is believed in Jesus Christ and in His salutary mission. It is for this reason that the Byzantine idea of theosis can become an important approach allowing a deepening of the moral theology especially with the help of the paschal theology of the prof. Hryniewicz.
