The document discussed in this paper was prepared in 1950 by the Scientific-Advisory Committee, which was then operating at the Office of Minister of Justice. It was not released for publication, probably because of its highly controversial content. The Committee was established with an aim to promote Marxist-Leninist ideology in the Department of Justice and the study of law. The document contains the evaluation of fundamental legal textbooks which were the core of teaching law at universities at that time. In fact, it was a form of critique of their authors, the majority of whom did not apply Marxist ideology in their works. It was a most vicious attack and an outright threat against the professors meaning that no other approach would be tolerated. Some of the professors began to comply, but these were in the minority. Others applied the ideology on a very superficial level. Also, the textbooks of the deceased professors were criticized.

The students learn about complex numbers and Euclidean plane geometry in high school. Nevertheless, this material is separated into units instead of being integrated. (Anevska, 2014) presents methodological aspects about the study of exponential presentation of the complex numbers and (Anevska & al.2015-1) presents the possibility for inter-subject integration of the mathematics instruction in the study of the mentioned topics. Further on, (Anevska & al., 2015-2) and (Anevska & al., 2016) present the results of the comparative analyses of the scores of the students regarding the transformations in the Euclidean plane and the metric characteristics of the geometric figures and their use when studied in the standard way (see (Mitrović & al., 1998)), and when studied with the use of complex numbers (see (Malcheski & al., 2015)). This paper offers analogous analyses regarding the acquired knowledge in these two ways when solving constructive tasks.

The world is transforming itself faster and in a more and more radical manner. The Brexit, the US President’s enthusiasm, the complications of the Korean conflict, the complexity of the situation in Syria, the North African and Middle East migrations, the evolvement and restauration in China, Japan’s desire to keep up the pace, are only a few of the signals of these transformations in the recent period. Above all, the aggressive policy of the Russian Federation, used to neglect its own international agreements to maintain its Great Power status globally. Still, as a projection of these major changes able to induce major worries, the idea of abandoning (de facto, sometimes de jure) the systems of values, on which the fragile international order has been based, is coming up more and more. This study tries to describe this situation and to evaluate the real dimensions of the dangers of a major conflict. Having in mind the complexity of this subject, the study has been structured in two parts, trying to focus the first part on the macro level, respectively on the increasing entropy at the macro level (globally and European-wide). In general, we intend to demonstrate that the actual situation is not radically different to that which existed years ago, the main worry coming from the change of perspectives of the Great Powers towards solving internal problems through external actions and statements.

The article is a reflection on selected trends that can significantly affect the education and functioning of a child in a family and school environment. The presented examples of alternative ideas and challenges that modern families are coping with are: high-tech parenting vs low-tech parenting, fast life and slow life, as well as elements of global and local ideas. These phenomena are perceived as opposed to each other at two extremes of the axis – contradictory or complementary. In addition, the author mentions aspects of changes in the learning and teaching process caused by the use of the media and new technologies.

Parents are active users of electronic media. The problem emerges when they do so at the expense of the time spent with the child. They not only give their children smartphones or tablets to play with, but also are happy and praise the children when they perform certain actions properly on the device. When deciding to provide their children with electronic media, the parents should control the time of use as well as all the actions performed on and with such devices. Nevertheless, problems arising from the use of these media by children should not be the basis for a ban to use them, as they can effectively support, for example, the cognitive and social development of children. The study contains results of observations of adult guardians who use mobile devices during childcare on the playground.

The authors of this article discuss the problem of the presence of advertising materials in the lessons of Polish, in which students are usually familiarized with contemporary advertisements. In this context the authors recommend the use of advertising materials from the interwar period (1919–1939) and suggest they should be analysed from the following perspectives: 1. Relations between words and images 2. Persuasive function of linguistic elements 3. The use of the motif of an authority. Theoretical considerations using the above-mentioned aspects are accompanied by so called “didactic proposals”. The advertising materials selected in this article can be used not only in individual exercises but also as a basis of entire lesson units.

The article is devoted to the communication efficiency of a child with special educational needs and the importance of the sequential character of therapeutic treatment applied in work with a child with speech disorders. The paper provides a case study and presents studies on comparative analysis of results obtained during preliminary and control examinations. The results obtained are the effect of therapeutic activities which covered children with language communication disorders. The research allowed to find some regularities. It also proved that the sequential character of therapy determines the quality of changes taking place in particular areas of communication (linguistic) efficiency of a child with special educational needs. However, a necessary condition for the effectiveness of therapeutic treatment are professional, substantive contacts between the specialist and the parent, as well as the involvement of the parent in the therapy program, because only then the child has the opportunity to acquire communicative competence and use language patterns of the nearest environment.

The article discusses the issue of social competences from the perspective of a student at early school age. In this case, the author made use of a questionnaire to gauge and determine the level of the sense of social competences of students. The author used a percentage perspective of each of the questions, which allowed for a general look onto the level of the sense of social competences in the surveyed group of third-graders and which helped determine the frequency of selecting particular answers. Finally, the gathered data was thoroughly analysed on account of the number of points scored after summing up each student’s points.

Complexity of the phenomenon of sexuality causes difficulties in performing unambiguous operationalisation of this concept both in the social and in the natural sciences. When discussing sexuality, it must be borne in mind that gender is a border category – it touches both private and public spheres, and is present at biological and socio-cultural levels simultaneously. The article is focused on the nature and importance of sexuality analysed in the context of contemporary educational reality. This attempt is to make sexuality “a map of varieties of ways of thinking about education” (J. Rutkowiak), that is, to treat it as a construct, through the prism of which the problems of education, upbringing, and socialisation can be stated, discussed, and solved (Z. Kwieciński). Such a procedure will allow for distinguishing new areas of analysis related to the pedagogy of the body and sexual pedagogy. Pedagogical considerations related to sexuality will be embedded in the personalistic concept of man, in particular in the context of the holistic understanding of human nature.

The work deals with the issue of gestures ritual in child communication with complex communication needs. It shows what a ritual is, a gesture is described as a natural element of the everyday communication process. It indicates the supportive and alternative ways of communication. The Makaton program is described,in which a system of manual characters facilitates people with complex communication needs to communicate effectively and learn speech and language. It has been pointed out that teacher-child interactions are an important element of ritualization.

Conflict is natural and inevitable wherever people spend time with each other. School is a very important place as there we face whole spectrum of emotions and behaviours. Peer conflicts result from difference of interests, opinions or presented values. Conflicts are inevitable, however the way of resolving them depends on the approach. Peer (school) mediation allows to resolve student’s disputes through dialogue. Mediator is a an impartial third party who assists in reaching an agreement, negotiating it in terms of cooperation and in finding the best solutions (according to the school custom – ritually).

The text deals with the development of ethnological thought within the “institute school” of the 1970s, i.e., with the place of new paradigm in the history of Croatian ethnology: attitude of the authors of the ethnology of the contemporary everyday life towards the traditional ethnological subject and method, consequences of the dissolution of research myths and self-denial of the authorship, but also with the consequences of theoretical eclecticism and broadening of the subject.

During the past twenty years Finland has changed from a traditionally agricultural community into a modern, highly industrialized country. The impact of the scientific and technological revolution, the use of new sources of energy, a high degree of social division of labour, expansion of education, differentiation in the pattern of occupations, a steady rise in the living standard, these are the main factors of change in the economic structure, the dynamic growth and the modernisation of the Finnish society. A series of economic changes gradually altered also the character of the social structure of Finnish society. Changes in the structure of industry and in the pattern of employment, beginning in the mid-sixties, occurred at such a fast rate as to produce an expansion in the industrial, construction and service sectors which far outstripped the role of agriculture, both in terms of output value and of the number of employed. The profound structural change resulted in an expansion of new occupations at the cost of agricultural ones, giving the population employed in industry and in the service sector a leading position in the society. The prominent role of the tertiary sector in the highly developed Finnish society is a corollary of the modem national industry, and of the country’s high level of development. This process of economic development, characterized by a decline of the primary sector, first in favour of the secondary, and later of the tertiary sector, induced fundamental changes in the population structure and in the life of the people. The dominant position of the tertiary sector and its further expansion have a special significance and far-reaching consequences for the entire economic-social transformation of modern Finnish society.
