Some Neognostic texts are in obvious intertextual and many-sided interrelations with Christian texts. An element of the semantic-pragmatic analysis of such texts should therefore be the study of these relationships with the Scriptures in the first place, since it is in their framework that conceptual content is often introduced: content characteristic to Neognostic spirituality through redefining the terms of Christian doctrine – especially those whose content is an essential part of Revelation. These terms (and concepts) undoubtedly include those associated with the end of times. One of these, the subject of this study, is The Second Coming of Christ. The material for analysis is taken mainly from the texts of the series “Sunday talks” by the 20th-century Bulgarian Neognostic Peter Deunov. The study comprises two stages. The first establishes the conceptual content of the term in Christian doctrine (in the text of Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition) as well as in spirituality. In the latter case, both the redefined and the suppressed / ignored elements of the Christian concept are important. The second stage seeks to establish the mechanisms of intertextuality: 1) the mode of relation to the Biblical text and the place this occupies in the author’s text, 2) the immediate and broader context of the quotations from Scripture in the Neognostic text, as well as the relationship between these quotes and the topic of analysed text, and 3) the means of interpreting Biblical quotations, and their function for the “theology“ of the Neognostic text.

The bibliography of Bulgarian studies includes publications by Polish and foreign authors published in Poland in the period 1947–2012. The main language of the works cited in the bibliography is Polish, a small portion (approx. 5%) is written in Bulgarian. The following bibliography is of a subject selective nature. It takes into account monographs – excluding continuous publications the inclusion of which would involve the planning of work over several years at least. The scope of the bibliography is limited to scientific publications which include studies on Bulgarian literature, Bulgarian cultural studies and research on Bulgarian history and society.

The Baptizing of Bulgarians is a widely interpreted subject in Bulgarian and in foreign medieval texts. In the present report we look at the appearance of that subject in “Slavonic-Bulgarian History” by Paisius of Hilendar and at the ethno saving function of the story of St. Cyril and St. Methodius. The legend of the direct participation of St. Cyril and St. Methodius in our baptizing has a spiritually unifying power, which transforms into a political support in the years before the Liberation. That is why in the second part of the report we look at its appearance and its interpretation in the holiday speeches, given in front of an audience on the 11th of May.

In the literary world, the force of love jumps over the limits of reality, transforms the characters and surpasses impassable borders. One of it's manifestations is the ability of the individual to identify oneself with a desired person. An example of this kind of transformation is the main heroine of Konstantin Konstantinov's novel “Blood". She changes her initial image diametrically, trying to attain her lover's qualities, thoughts and desires as her own. Thus, by following her path, we can serve processes characteristic to the realms of art as well as to the real psychological life of the individual. However, when artistically recreated they are much more sharply outlined and indicative of the identification process.

The Homily against adulterers and bigamists is one of the works in the Chrysorroas (Zlatostruy) collection that has no traced Greek original. The paper aims at introducing this medieval Slavic text into scientific circulation by making some initial observations on its contents. An examination of certain common passages with works of Clement of Ochrida gives grounds to the assumption that it was compiled by this famous disciple of Sts. Cyril and Methodius. An editio princeps of the homily based on three witnesses is appended at the end.
