In the very prolific half-decade in which he wrote a significant part of Attila Moses' literary oeuvre, he also published three large-scale talks in his two prose collections, Glass Still Life and Smoke, which stretched the boundaries of the short novel. Although the color changes of the evil, the thickest volume of his entire career, The Changes in Evil, can be a great epic enterprise, the writings are more borderline in this case as well - the 1982 volume History is over, and the title track of the 1984 collection, Smoke Age and Mirror Dance.

Herve Le Telly’s novel The Anomaly brings together many characters of different ages, with different sexual, religious, social and professional identities on an Air France flight from Paris to New York in March 2021 to confront them with the anomaly and the absurd. Experienced through the prism of the personal confrontation of the characters with the uncertainty and threat of an anti-utopian world that does not guarantee security in events, meanings and facts, but provokes, surprises and frightens with the paradoxical doubling of two radically different fields at different times, but striking identical. The novel, which won the French Goncourt Prize, aroused the interest of readers and critics and was translated into many languages to “circulate” in the world, becoming a convincing proof of the life of the postmodern novel in the 21st century.

The Hegelian sublime is related to a peculiar concept of De Man, namely the Kantian materiality. It gives an original explanation of the need of a work of art or a natural phenomenon in order for the sublime to occur. Further on, De Man elaborates on Biblical examples used by Hegel in his Lectures on Aesthetics as examples of the sublime. What is the medium of divine creation, the defining speech or the light that makes the things visible? And moreover, if thinking is only causal sequencing, what is the rhetorical status of its language? De Man reveals the important place of aesthetics as an original place of the political discourse.
