The article examines the activity of Doctor V. P. Kovalevskiy's organization (group) in Petrograd in 1918. The article gives the analysis of the groups activity and membership. Using its relations with the English, the organization was transporting officers to Murmansk and Archangelsk and collecting the secret information. History of the group foundation is examined on the basis of the Cheka documents and memories of witnesses.

The article analyses the influence of radio broadcasting on forming of labor motivation among the population of Volgo-Vjatsky region in the time of the Great Patriotic War. Positive character of information content is specially noted and considered by the author as necessary means of psychological influence on labor motivation of workers in critical conditions of the wartime.

The paper covers the work of the last (10th) Congress of people's deputies of Russia (the supreme government body which functioned in Russia in 1990-1993). The main documents adopted by the Congress during the political crisis in the autumn of 1993 are analyzed. The meetings of the Congress and the situation of the besieged House of Soviets are examined. The special attention is paid to the events which took place in Moscow in October the 3th -4th, 1993.
