Summary/Abstract: The paper covers the work of the last (10th) Congress of people's deputies of Russia (the supreme government body which functioned in Russia in 1990-1993). The main documents adopted by the Congress during the political crisis in the autumn of 1993 are analyzed. The meetings of the Congress and the situation of the besieged House of Soviets are examined. The special attention is paid to the events which took place in Moscow in October the 3th -4th, 1993.
