The paper presents scientific literature anglysis in the area of distance teaching/learning curriculum designing and quality assessment. The aim of the paper is to identify quality assessment dimensions of distance teaching/learning curriculum designing. The authors of the paper agree that quality assessment should be considered during the curriculum design by performing reflective quality assessment. Synthesis of different scientific ideas with regard to distance teaching/learning curriculum designing are presented and discussed in the paper, and then the quality assessment dimensions of distance teaching/learning curriculum designing are presented.
More...The German ethnics arrived in several waves . during the XII-XIIIth and XVII-XIXth centuries . on the Romanian territory from the Central Europe, settled mostly in the historical regions of the central and western parts of the country (Transilvania, Banat and Criºana) . that time under Hungarian domination or integrated to the Habsburg Empire. During the second part of the XXth century . beginning of the XXIst century, the number of the ethnics decreased . from 745 421 persons in 1930 to 60 088 in 2002 . as a consequence of the disloyalty both to the Romanian and the German government from the Second World War (1940-1945), the after war generation.s lack of material and juridical base during the communist governance, the fear, the isolation that continued after 1989 and the discredit towards the minorities. rights proclaimed after the Revolution from December 1989. Etnia germanã, pãtrunsã pe teritoriul României din partea centralã a Europei, în mai multe valuri succesive . secolele XII-XIII si XVII-XIX ., s-a stabilit predominant în provinciile istorice din centrul si vestul tãrii (Transilvania, Banat si Crisana), aflate în acele momente istorice sub stãpânire maghiarã sau integrate Imperiului Habsburgic. The primary difficulty is coming to terms with the centrality of meaning in the constitution of human associations which, in turn, poses difficulties for the historical, sociological and anthropological investigation of collective self-consciousness, requiring its own analytical approaches. Those approaches to the meaning born by symbols include renewed attention to representation, territory, and myth.
More...In the present-day debates regarding the local governance, the need for principles such as that of transparency and participation has become very common, at least at the level of political statements. The analysis of the topic requires however investigations which would go further than Gallup polls, for example. The sociological inquiry within strictly limited territories and beyond administrative boundaries can be an opportunity. Moreover, new techniques are required. Starting from all these considerations, the present study offers the results of several exploratory investigations made in the microregion Albac-Scãriºoara-Horea (Alba County). During these investigations, we tested both instruments of the classic inquiry with the aim of identifying the application modality of the principles of transparency and participation as well as the valences of the restoring of the results of the sociological inquiry through individualised restoring and group restoring. The main aim was that of deepening the results of the inquiry, and thus, accomplishing what we shall name in the study the sociologically induced participation through the transfer of representations, opinions and attitudes of the citizens towards the local governance authorities. În dezbaterile care au loc asupra guvernãrii locale, invocarea unor principii precum cele ale transparentei si participãrii a devenit ceva comun, cel putin la niveluri precum cel declarativ-politic sau cel prospectiv-utopic. Aprofundarea problematicii însã solicitã investigatii care sã meargã mai departe decât o pot face, de pildã, sondajele de opinie. Ancheta sociologicã în spatii bine delimitate si care depãsesc barierele administrative poate fi o oportunitate. Mai mult, tehnici noi se cer a fi utilizate. Plecând de la toate aceste considerente, studiul de fatã prezintã rezultatele unor investigatii exploratorii realizate în microregiunea Albac-Scãrisoara-Horea (judetul Alba). În aceste investigatii au fost testate atât instrumente ale anchetei clasice în vederea identificãrii modului de aplicare a principiilor transparentei si participãrii, cât si valentele restituirii rezultatelor anchetei sociologice, prin restituirea individualizatã si restituirea de grup. Scopul principal al restituirii a fost cel al aprofundãrii rezultatelor anchetei, realizându-se însã si ceea ce la un moment dat, pe parcursul studiului, vom numi participarea indusã sociologic prin transferul de reprezentãri, opinii si atitudini ale cetãtenilor cãtre reprezentanti ai guvernãrii locale.

More...The core aspect of this article is centered on the attempt to highlight the way in which the individualism-collectivism (IND/COL) dimension . which in the last 20 years has been largely used to compare societies . can be accurately operationalized, to conceive an adequate methodology for the measurement and validation of these two controversial constructs, and, consequently, for the investigation of their relation with the psychological functioning of individuals, particularly, with the structuring and the development of personal conceptions of intelligence (PCI). In this way, at a theoretical level, we analyze the influence of the IND/COL on the PCI of Portuguese and Romanian students, proceeding from the assumption that the cultural context, in which individuals live and act, models such conceptions, and, implicitly, influences the particular achievement patterns of behavior and school performance. Aspectul central al acestui articol este reprezentat de încercarea de a evidentia modul în care dimensiunea individualism-colectivism (IND/COL) . preponderent utilizatã, în ultimii 20 de ani, în vederea comparãrii societãtilor umane . poate fi operationalizatã pentru a se concepe o metodologie adecvatã mãsurãrii si validãrii acestor douã constructe atât de controversate si, în acelasi timp, pentru a se investiga relatia sa cu functionarea psihologicã a indivizilor, în principal în ceea ce priveste structurarea si dezvoltarea conceptiilor personale asupra inteligentei (CPI). În acest fel, este analizatã, la un nivel teoretic, influenta IND/ COL asupra CPI ale elevilor români si portughezi, plecându-se de la presupozitia potrivit cãreia contextul cultural, în care indivizii trãiesc si actioneazã, modeleazã astfel de conceptii si, implicit, influenteazã comportamentul de realizare scolarã si performantele scolare.
More...The paper is an approach of three institutions in a Bucharest neighborhood, namely a marketplace, a factory, and a school, as seen from the perspective of anthropological method of participant observation. The author argues that participant observation may contribute in terms of ethics, ethnographic relevance, and feasibility, to identifying, analyzing, and interpreting the social groups and relationships specific to urban neighborhoods. In particular the ethnographic roles adapted to the life of local community are ascertained as tools in understanding the social and economic interdependence between such .actors. as the traders, workers, and students. The multiple identity that ethnographer undertakes in the field is eventually related to the very cultural diversity of the urban groups or networks that make the object of social research. Lucrarea este o abordare a trei institutii dintr-o vecinãtate bucuresteanã, si anume o piatã, o fabricã si o scoalã, privite din perspectiva metodei antropologice a observãrii participative. Autorul argumenteazã cã observarea participativã poate contribui, în termeni de eticã, relevantã etnograficã si fezabilitate, la identificarea, analizarea si interpretarea grupurilor si relatiilor sociale specifice învecinãrilor orãsenesti. Sunt validate în special rolurile etnografice adaptate vietii comunit ãtii locale ca instrumente de întelegere a interdependentei sociale si economice dintre .actori. precum negustorii, muncitorii si elevii. Identitatea multiplã pe care etnograful si-o asumã în teren este corelatã în cele din urmã cu însãsi diversitatea culturalã a grupurilor sau retelelor urbane ce fac obiectul cercetãrii sociale.

More...This article makes an evaluation regarding the processes of social mobility in rural European areas comparing with dynamics reaches in rural Romanian space. There are also exposes the main characteristics of the sociological approach in Europe and in Romania during the last five decades. Both rural European and rural Romanian areas had an evolution with upside-down regarding social mobility, all tendencies being function of socioeconomical development in those spaces. In Romania, as in many others Central and Eastern European countries the beginning of 90s comes with a sociopolitical fracture having a great influence on many social processes, including on social mobility. În acest articol este prezentatã o evaluare a proceselor de mobilitate socialã, în special a celor de tip intergenerational, în spatiul rural european si occidental în comparatie cu dinamica respectivelor procese în arealul rural românesc. Sunt, de asemenea, expuse principalele caracteristici ale abordãrilor sociologice cu privire la fenomenul mobilitãtii în Europa de Vest si în România, precum si modul cum au evoluat respectivele abordãri în ultimele cinci decenii. Trebuie spus cã atât în spatiul rural occidental european, cât si în cel românesc, evolutia si dimensiunile mobilitãtii sociale sunt functie directã a macroproceselor socioeconiomice si politice care s-au dezvoltat în aceste spatii. Din acest punct de vedere, în România, ca si în multe alte tãri central- si est-europene, începutul anilor .90 a adus o fracturã radicalã sociopoliticã, fracturã care a exercitat o influentã puternicã asupra celor mai multe procese sociale, inclusiv asupra mobilitãtii sociale inter- si intragenerationale.
