The translation and reception of Japanese literature in Romania has followed the vicissitudes of the country’s coming into modernity in the 19th century and slide into fascism and communism throughout the 20th century, as well as the subsequent ups and downs of the relationship with Japan. This research offers a brief overview of that sinuous path. It then focuses on the pre- and post-1990 reception of the works of Yukio Mishima (1925-1970), one of the iconic figures of Japan’s postwar literature and exemplary for his continued trials and tribulations with modernity. By making use of scholarly and journalistic sources, the current incipient research provides several examples of the translation and reception of Mishima’s works in Romania, as well as the extent to which his presence in this literary space has managed to permeate the psyche of Romanian scholars, literary critics and readers alike.

The institution of mediation has been known in American history for over a century and a half. We have been talking about mediation since 1838. Then, at the initiative of President Martin Van Buren, the first mediation facilitated by the Government in the event of a major strike took place. Obviously, we cannot talk about mediation in the current sense. Nevertheless, it is a first step.In order to support and promote mediation, the involvement of the state is very important. Labor disputes are practically the first to be resolved through mediation. In 1918, the American Conciliation Service was born within the Department of Labor. The establishment of this service was considered the birth of mediation at the federal level.

Current accelerated digitalization process of society and technological developments in all technical areas have determined the academic institutions to adapt their education system to these challenges. Numerous studies have shown evidence of increased interest to learn when digital devices are incorporated into the learning environment. Therefore, in this paper we proposed a functional model of digital platform to be used by the geodetic students. In order to improve the university education process and performance, the digital platform should include certain elements such as: study field presentation, ability to adapt to latest technological developments, attracting of private sector in educational process through different methods and standardization of evaluation process. A digital platform must provide answers to essentials questions or requirements of students. The proposed digital platform is based on two framework schemes which refer to the promotion faculty, admission and educational process content. For admission, the university should take account three candidate categories (decided on certain study field, those who want an engineering specialization and those undecided).Hence, for all three categories the digital platform should provide the certain aspects as following: perspective on labour market of chosen specialization and information regarding the study field (courses name, brief description of topics courses, competences etc.).The educational process content is addressed to the students attended to each study program and must be conceived and presented based on the professional and transversal competences set. The information on the digital platform must be organized in a logical sequence and must allow to users to get all information they needed.

E-learning represents one of the foremost wide technique in modern education. Our framework is starting from the training effectiveness idea, for the learners not to acquire knowledge and skills independently, but instead to allow the learner to have access to their material in a customized fashion which will meet their needs without any barriers, such as time or space. Our framework is designed with respect for Business Intelligence and in the same time is capable to offer a framework fully-loaded with Business Intelligence to give a full oversight over the organizational training; competencies management based on mapped organization plan which will identify smartly the gaps; with monitor and management courses; from e-course to conventional or VR and AR; and with a fully-loaded business intelligence features which will give the possibility to have multiple dashboard analytics. The current paper describes an e-learning framework that will assure the security of the data using elliptic curve cryptography, the data are being stored in a big data environment. Our framework aims to optimize the quantity of data and to offer security protection for the data, which is available on front end computers. The security will be guaranteed by a scheme based on elliptic curve cryptography and searchable encryption mechanisms. The role of searchable encryption will allow accessing the data on encrypted cloud and searches will be performed over encrypted content. Our framework will be dependent on some of the learner's behavior characteristics. The learner behavior will be understood as 'behavior in context' and characterized as an important security parameter for each learner.

This paper describes the methods used to further enhance our educational efforts by implementing a student-centred website for our department. The main objective of the work is to describe the process and survey carried in order to achieve a good web presence. Our structured survey questionnaire helped us prove our hypothesis. The survey hypothesis was that well-formatted and mobile friendly websites encourage students to do better research, to check web pages more often and share information more. Our survey objective is to prove that multi-device accessibility to websites aids students in their research. Another goal is to find if students check the site more often if it’s responsive. The third research point underlines if students tend to share the information more if it’s on a well-formatted and mobile-friendly website. The targeted survey population are students enrolled in engineering degrees enrolled in their first year undergraduate. The survey demographics include young adults in their twenties located in South-East Europe from Romania. Our results show that an increasing number of students are looking for information on their university website and efforts need to be made to provide availability and screen-friendly web-applications. Our research also shows an important increase in screen time versus indoor library reading time among our students. The survey questionnaire is structured so that we can better understand our students' needs when they log on to our web application. This work was looking for student feedback in order to modify the parts of the websites to suit our students' needs.

The modernization of life, in general and the economic one, in particular, have led to a renovation of economic crime, at an adaptation of evasion to everyday life. Classical patrimonial offenses have lost their relevance, currently assisting in a sophistication of financial and fiscal crime, one of the new forms it takes being economic evasion. The universality of the evasion phenomenon is explained by its extension to all types of societies and to all social classes. The age of tax evasion is linked to the very appearance of taxes and fees. A complex phenomenon, which appears as a response of the taxpayer in relation to the coercive action of the state, the tax evasion is a subject disputed equally in the legal sciences and in economics, bending on the recent branch of economic law. In this context, it is necessary to analyze the evolution of the legislative and economic framework in Romania about the fiscal inspection within ANAF.

It is known that the 1930s have been troubled, with strong tensions, marked by a series of sustained polemic debates, with the intellectual world suffering major ideological splits. Thus, on the public stage of the indigenous intelligence will appear Mircea Streinul, a young writer and follower of the „philosophy of life”, determined to tell the truth that he considered to be defining for the times he lived. The study presents some of the positions and polemics reflecting the thinking of the young generation of Romanian intellectuals in the Bukovinian space, around Mircea Streinul, the ferment of the Iconar Movement, which established itself as an important writer, poet and writer, translator, leading exponent of a group that aimed to reinvigorate the province, to shift the emphasis on the periphery to the detriment of a centrality that he saw as excessive and harmful at the same time.

Both Romanians and Bulgarians had different images and conceptions regarding their neighbor. Anyway, this perception was not new then and it still exists nowadays. Another important aspect was that of Southern Dobrudja. While for Romanians the most important territory was Transylvania, for the Bulgarians this was present in their imaginary very deep.
