Journal of Innovations and Sustainability is an open access, cross-disciplinary, peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing original scientific works, theoretical and practical articles that should contribute to the sustainable development.

Aims and Scope. This journal focuses on all aspects of innovations and sustainable development from the local to the global level. The main attention is paid to papers concerned with innovation activities, economic, environmental and social sustainability. The journal publishes papers in the following basic areas: economic sciences, environmental sciences, pedagogical sciences, agricultural sciences. 

The journal is included in the reference list of the National center for information and documentation of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Rapid Publication: based on the results of reviewing manuscripts, the first decision is provided to the authors no later than 10 days after submission; the publication of articles on the site is made within a week after receiving the publication fee. For publication on the website of the journal, articles are accepted daily.

The role of Air Force and expeditionary operations in the new strategic environment is reasoned in study, the process of building and usage of expeditionary capabilities is analysed. The directions for realization of the expeditionary capabilities of the Air Force unites are reasoned. Definitions of terms for expeditionary capabilities and Air Force expeditionary forces are given. A Model of training for participation of Air Force units in expeditionary operations is proposed.

Ways of enhancing counteraction against corruption in the security sector

The study offers an effective methodology through which one can determine the steps which must be undertaken in order to investigate crimes of general character, as falling under Chapter VIII, Section II and Section IV from the Penal Code. The study presents an interconnected methodology of investigation starting from the moment of receival of a complaint, through the operational work carried out within the framework of the penal persecution, up until the stage of submission of the bill of indictment, as well as a detailed analysis and conclusion on the problems surrounding the specific instance of corruption in the Ministry of Interior Affairs. The latter analysis encompasses the crimes that the policeman committed, an assessment of his personality and illegal behavior, as well as an analysis of the ways to enhance the practices to prevent corruption in the future. The topic of the dissertation is pressing in the field of the fight against against corruption and it suggest how better efficiency and coordination could be achieved between and wihin the different organs and structures. The paper suggests also how the institutional framework could be adapted to better fit its purpose, which can only be done if indepedenent, competent and honest persons are placed in the leading positions of the anticorruption authorities. Without this, no system could safeguard its effectiveness. The scientific novelty is in the complex analysis of the efficiency of the current model aiming at fighting corruption in the "Security Sector".

Accuracy and noise immunity research on navigation system of small unmanned aerial vehicles

The book has developed and tested models of measuring devices with accelerometers and gyroscopes. These models were used to synthesize algorithms for co-processing of measurements from GPS receiver and INS. Tests of noise resistance and accuracy of synthesized algorithms have been made. The results of the research prove that the algorithms work steadily and provide the necessary precision. The book consists of three parts. The first part analyzes the navigation systems used onboard biplane aircraft. In the second part is synthesis and analysis of algorithms for joint processing of measurements by INS and GPS. In the third part the synthesized algorithms for joint processing of the measurements under the operating conditions are analyzed.

Methods and algorithms for aerial and radar image processing, that facilitating analysis of information are considered in this monograph and they have been successfully applied in solving problems in radiophysics, optics and radiolocation. The monograph consists of three parts. In the first part, the features of the human visual perception and the digital image formation are discussed. In the second part, different mathematical models and algorithms for image transformation and restoration, which could be applied to photo and radar images, are considered. In the third part, effectiveness of considered methods is shown and the study results of application of different methods and algorithms are illustrated by many examples.

Methods and algorithms for aerial and radar image processing, that facilitating analysis of information are considered and they have been successfully applied in solving problems in optics and radiolocation areas. The book consists of four parts. In the first part an analysis of the theory and modern high efficient models for digital image processing is done. In the second part an evaluation and an analysis of radar and optical systems for surveillance are done. In the third part an evaluation of different methods is done and algorithms for radar and optical image transformation and restoration are obtained. In the fourth part the computer simulations of the developed algorithms for processing of radar and optical image are presented. The analized algorithms are evaluated, and the effectiveness of these algorithms is determined, using real aerial pictures and images from synthetic aperture radar made from unmanned aerial vehicle.

The rapid development of science and technology has led to the emergence of a crisis in society. Science "pushes" religion, but does not offer a new moral code in its place. The definitions of "security" are almost as many and as controversial as postmodernism. For the purposes of this study, however, it will be sufficient to define security as "the functional state of a system that provides for the neutralization and counteraction of external and internal factors affecting or potentially damaging the system." This scientific research presents a study, which seeks to answer the question why the paradigm "security" is so important in the postmodern society, what are the roots of its influence and meaning, and to seek conclusions and guidelines for its increase.
