SYMBOLON has emerged from the desire to revigorate theatre studies. It is a multidisciplinary scientific review wich encourages the research of theatrical phenomena from the methodological perspective of theatre sciences. Its columns host studies related to the history, theory, sociology and semiotics of theatre, as well as to the pedagogy of acting, theatre anthropology, aesthetics, phychology and other scientific fields. It is also concerned with the presentation of innovative trends in theatrical language and recent experiments. SYMBOLON is a multicultural publication. It contains studies and articles in Romanian, Hungarian, as well as in international languages. Multiculturality is a basic principle for its editors and provides the distinctive feature of this review, wich we anticipate to appeal to our readers. However, we consider that studies written in lesser known languages can be also successfully ranked with those written in internationally known ones.
