„Prace Historyczne” są periodykiem ukazującym się w ramach Zeszytów Naukowych Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego. Pierwszy numer ukazał się w 1955 r. Początkowo pismo wychodziło nieregularnie, by w latach 1990., pod redakcją prof. Krzysztofa Baczkowskiego, ostatecznie przybrać formę rocznika. Pismo związane jest z Instytutem Historii UJ. W ramach „Prac Historycznych” ukazują się również numery specjalne oraz serie tematyczne: „Studia Austro-Polonica”, „Studia Polono-Danubiana et Balcanica”, „Studia Gallo-Polonica”, „Studia Germano-Polonica”, „Studia Italo-Polonica”. Łamy pisma są otwarte dla badaczy różnych epok (od starożytności po czasy współczesne) i różnych specjalności (zagadnienia z historii politycznej, społecznej i gospodarczej), dla historyków profesjonalnych i dla doktorantów, z kraju i zagranicy. Wśród zamieszczanych tekstów są oryginalne studia naukowe, edycje źródeł historycznych, polemiki i recenzje oraz sprawozdania z najciekawszych sympozjów i konferencji naukowych. Teksty są publikowane w języku polskim oraz językach kongresowych (angielski, niemiecki, francuski). Until 2012 the journal has been published as annual publication. Beginning with 2013 the frequency has changed to quarterly publication.

Przekładaniec. A Journal of Literary Translation

Przekładaniec is a reviewed academic journal devoted to literary translation matters. It features poetry and short prose translation to and from Polish along with critical commentary, both by the translators themselves (workshop format) and by translation critics, as well as essays on translation theory, literary translation analyses, comparative literary studies and reviews of books in translation studies. Apart from presenting analyses of existing translations, the journal publishes new translations, both of the authors belonging to a well established canon and of those contemporary writers and poets who are little known in Poland. It is the editors' aim to offer a multilingual and multicultural forum that promotes interdisciplinary discussion on literary translation understood as communication among different cultures. Hence the journal's variety of languages, topics and methodologies. Also, the editors have always been working towards promoting Polish literature abroad. The journal will attract translators and translation scholars, philologists, literary critics, as well as non-specialist readers interested in translation and intercultural transfer. Until 2012 Przekładaniec has been published as a semi-annual periodical. From 2013 Przekładaniec appears as annual publication.

Czasopismo „Wolność i Solidarność. Studia z dziejów opozycji wobec komunizmu i dyktatury” jest pismem interdyscyplinarnym, łączącym spojrzenie historyków z podejściem politologicznym, punktem widzenia historyków idei i socjologów. Nasze pismo jest redagowane zgodnie z naukowymi standardami, nie chcemy jednak ograniczać gatunków pisarskich do tradycyjnej formy studium. Formuła redakcyjna jest otwarta – prawo obecności na łamach „Wolności i Solidarności” mają esej, wywiad, wspomnienie, polemika i dyskusja. Publikujemy też dokumenty archiwalne i relacje uczestników ruchów demokratycznych.
W cyklu „Archiwum wolnej myśli” pokazujemy testy kluczowe dla myśli politycznej antytotalitarnej opozycji. Ważną częścią pisma stanowi dział recenzji, omawiający zarówno polskie, jak i obcojęzyczne książki dotyczące interesującego nas obszaru tematycznego. W dziejach ruchów demokratycznych – obok opisu wydarzeń – ważna będzie analiza myśli politycznej i narodzin społeczeństwa obywatelskiego, perspektywa socjologiczna, a także perspektywa porównawcza różnych dróg prowadzących od komunizmu i dyktatur autorytarnych do demokracji oraz różnych typów demokratyzacji. Nie wyznaczamy sztywnej granicy chronologicznej zainteresowań badawczych. Nie stanowi jej rok 1989 – punkt przełomowy w historii upadku europejskiego komunizmu – bowiem ani komunizm, ani inne systemy dyktatorskie nie przestały istnieć w innych częściach świata po europejskiej jesieni ludów. Do dziejów odzyskiwania wolności należą także współczesne formy opozycji wobec dyktatury w Chinach czy na Kubie.

„Media Biznes Kultura” (Media Business Culture) is an academic journal of media studies profile,  published by the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Journalism of the University of Gdańsk in partnership with the Media Ethics Team at the Polish Language Council of PAN (the Polish Academy of Sciences). The title of the journal refers directly to the name of the international academic conference held periodically by Gdańsk’s journalism circles, to which event home and foreign scholars are invited, participating in an interdisciplinary discourse on the issues of media. The articles published here come from the border of various disciplines: media studies, communication sciences, marketing and management, psychology, linguistics and visual communication. The journal is bilingual, with papers presented in Polish and English.

The annual Ars Educandi is a broad platform of critical reflection on contemporary education, culture and society. Its primary goal is to disseminate the results of scientific research. The thematic scope of the published texts includes social sciences - first of all pedagogy, sociology, cultural studies, philosophy, psychology, communication, art, political science or anthropology. The main task of the journal is to maintain the spirit of Gdańsk pedagogy: we create an open space for all forms of dialogue for scientists and researchers looking at educational processes critically, interdisciplinary, taking into account different axiological and methodological orientations. We are particularly interested in new, emerging phenomena, considered to be difficult in one or more way - for example the relationship between education and technologies, the problems of game studies or new cultural and political matters.

Cahiers ERTA est une plate-forme d’échange scientifique sur la littérature francophone moderne et contemporaine. Cahiers ERTA a d’abord été conçu comme un cycle de monographies « Autour de... », publiées dans le cadre des activités du groupe de recherche scientifique ERTA, fondé en 2006 par Ewa Małgorzata Wierzbowska, Tomasz Swoboda, et Olga Wrońska. Deux monographies ont paru, en 2008 et 2011. En 2012, le groupe ERTA a créé un Ouvroir de recherches sur la littérature francophone moderne qui travaille sur la littérature du XVIII siècle jusqu’à l’extrême contemporain. Cette même année il a été décidé de transformer les monographies en revue, ce qui s’est concrétisé en 2013 pour la parution du troisième numéro. Cahiers ERTA est ouvert à des méthodes d’interprétation et des théories applicables à l’étude d’une œuvre littéraire (approches structurales, poststructurales, thématiques, comparatistes, narratologiques, etc). En 2017, de l’Ouvroir est né l’Atelier littéraire, dirigé par Katarzyna Kotowska, qui organise des rencontres entre des écrivain-e-s francophones et des étudiant-e-s de différentes philologies romanes. D’abord semestrielle, Cahiers ERTA est une revue trimestrielle depuis 2018.

Czasopismo Paragraf na Drodze. Prawne i kryminalistyczne problemy ruchu drogowego ukazuje się od 1999 r. nakładem Wydawnictwa Instytutu Ekspertyz Sądowych. Adresatem publikowanych treści są przede wszystkim biegli sądowi i rzeczoznawcy w dziedzinie wypadków drogowych, ale również związani z problematyką ruchu drogowego prawnicy, policjanci, osoby parające się szkoleniem i egzaminowaniem kandydatów na kierowców, a także pracownicy administracji drogowej i zarządów dróg. Paragraf na Drodze jest kwartalnikiem. Bezpłatna elektroniczna wersja czasopisma jest dostępna na niniejszej witrynie internetowej.

Przemyśl Yearbook. Literature and Language

Rocznik Przemyski Literatura i Język

Pierwszy tom „Rocznika Przemyskiego” ukazał się w 1912 r. Został wydrukowany w przemyskiej drukarni Jana Łazora w nakładzie 500 egzemplarzy i zawierał pracę Jana Smołki pt. Powstanie wielkopolskie przeciwko Szwedom w latach 1655-1657 oraz część sprawozdawczą dotyczącą działalności Towarzystwa Przyjaciół Nauk w Przemyślu i jego agend oraz wykaz członków Towarzystwa. Kolejne tomy Rocznika przed 1939 r. ukazały się w latach 1913, 1924, 1925, 1927 (tomy II-VII). Publikowano w nich głównie rozprawy z zakresu historii średniowiecznej i nowożytnej oraz sprawozdania Dyrekcji i kasowe TPN. Periodyk do 1927 roku ukazywał się pod tytułem „Rocznik Towarzystwa Przyjaciół Nauk w Przemyślu”. Tomu VIII z powodu braku środków finansowych nie wydrukowano (jego wydanie było planowane na rok 1936).

Pierwszy „powojenny” tom „Rocznika Przemyskiego” ukazał się w 1959 r. Następne numery czasopisma zawierały przede wszystkim prace historyczne, jak również rozprawy z zakresu archeologii i etnografii. W kolejnych tomach ukazywały się artykuły z różnych dziedzin, najczęściej w porządku: archeologia, historia, językoznawstwo i literaturoznawstwo, nauki przyrodnicze, techniczne i pedagogiczne, a więc z dziedzin obejmujących działalność Towarzystwa.

W 1994 r. ukazał się podwójny tom Rocznika (nr 29-30) składający się z 8 zeszytów obejmujących prace z takich dyscyplin naukowych jak: archeologia, historia języka i literatury, historia oświaty i wychowania, nauki przyrodnicze, nauki rolnicze i nauki medyczne oraz dwa zeszyty uzupełniające – jeden zawierał Kronikę TPN za lata 1987-1993 (z. 9), a drugi – Bibliografię zawartości „Rocznika Przemyskiego” za lata 1909-1911-1993/1994 (z. 10). Następne numery „Rocznika Przemyskiego” ukazywały się już w podziale na tematyczne zeszyty.

Podział „Rocznika Przemyskiego” na zeszyty – wydawane od roku 1995  odrębnie – utrzymuje się do dziś. Po 1995 r. opublikowano poszczególne zeszyty „Rocznika Przemyskiego” reprezentujące: archeologię, historię, historię wojskowości, literaturę i język, historię sztuki, nauki przyrodnicze i nauki rolnicze, nauki pedagogiczne, socjologię. W ramach Rocznika Przemyskiego ukazywały sie również zeszyty dotyczące nauk medycznych, które tworzyły Acta Medica Premisliensia. Obecnie regularnie ukazują się zeszyty: Historia, Historia Wojskowości, Literatura i Język oraz Nauki Przyrodnicze.

"Studia Historica Gedanensia," established in 2010, publishes a thematic annual yearbook volume of articles of historical interest. In each volume, the editorial board strives to present articles covering the era of antiquity, the Middle Ages, modern, nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Submitted proposals for articles are initially assessed by the editorial board and, if accepted for consideration, are assigned to reviewers specializing in a particular historical period, using a double-blind review process.

The editorial staff of "Zeszyty" (ISSN 1426 - 6547, e-ISSN 2657-8646) declares that the printed version of the journal is its basic version.

“Prace Komisji Kultury Słowian" (Slavonic Culture. Annual Review of the PAU Commission on the Culture of the Slavs) are a scientific yearbook of the Committee on Culture of the Slavs of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences. It contains printed articles of the members of the Commission and other scholars, also from abroad. All articles are peer-reviewed, often by foreign researchers. The publications are the result of the authors’ speeches in the Commission’s forum and the discussions related to them. The scientific meetings are devoted to thematic cycles dedicated to the cultures of the Slavic nations. They embrace scholars studying the culture of Russia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Belarus, Ukraine and Poland. The issues concern the specificity of the cultural tradition of the Slavic nations, the cultural changes after 1989, the methodological aspects of research into the particular fields of the culture, the dissimilarity of the religious, the social and the political culture. Prace Komisji Kultury Słowian yearbook has been published since 2001.

Medycyna Nowożytna Studia nad Kulturą Medyczną

The magazine has existed since 1992/1994 and is devoted not only to topics related to the history of medical sciences but also to the notion of culture of medicine understood in a broader sense. In 1999, the subtitle of the magazine was changed from A study of the history of medicine to Studying the culture of medicine by the then editorial board of the magazine. It meant that from that point onward the magazine could start publishing articles that explored medical topics from the perspective of different social and humanistic sciences. The magazine’s historical character was thus enriched with new points of view and contexts. It has retained such character to this day. Newest achievements of sociology, philosophy, psychology, or medical anthropology are treated here mainly as a point of inspiration for any potential reader. The magazine’s main audience are doctors, historians, medicine historians, and young adepts of medical sciences.

Archival Studies

Studia Archiwalne

"Archive Studies" is a scientific journal of the State Archives in Lublin. It was established in 2004 as a publishing series. Three volumes of the periodical were published in this formula in 2004, 2006 and 2010. In 2017, Studia Archiwalne was transformed into a periodical published as an annual. Therefore, a new Scientific Committee chaired by prof. dr. hab. Krzysztof Skupieński (UMCS Lublin) and a new Editorial Committee headed by Dr. Piotr Dymmel (State Archives in Lublin) as the chief editor.

"Archive Studies" is addressed to the environment of archivists, academic staff of universities dealing with archiving and auxiliary sciences of history, museologists and those for whom issues related to archives, collecting, securing and sharing archives are important.

In "Archival Studies" we publish articles on broadly understood archival topics, relating both to issues in the field of archival science and archival science in their practical and theoretical dimension. In addition, we accept articles from related fields related to the auxiliary sciences of history, which are an integral part of the archivist's workshop.
