Ideo is an open-access international journal which publishes original contributions in five main areas: Philosophy, Psychology, Cultural Studies, Political Science, and Law. The journal's main aim is to enable authors with high-quality articles to reach their relevant audience as soon as possible.

The Journal appears continuously up to four times a year. Individual articles are published online after the review process is completed. The current issue stands open until it reaches six articles. No limit is set for other kinds of contributions, such as: discussion notes, review essays, interviews, etc. Once the current issue is closed, the next issue welcomes new contributions.

Ideo is part of a broader editorial project which includes two other journals issued by the Institute of Economic and Social Research, Romanian Academy, Iași Branch: „Logos & Episteme. An International Journal of Epistemology” and „Symposion. Theoretical and Applied Inquiries in Philosophy and Social Sciences.”
