Collection of Anthropological Museal Information

Collection of Anthropological Museal Information

Zbiór Wiadomości do Antropologii Muzealnej

Frequency: 1 issues / Country: Poland

The Journal of Museum Anthropology (ZWAM) is a periodical which welcomes texts offering in-depth interpretation of museum phenomena . We publish articles, which show museums in broader, also interdisciplinary perspective, written by specialists in ethnography, art, management, law, sociology, history and philosophy. The Journal initiates anthropological debates about museums as a cultural phenomenon applying methodology used in ethnology and cultural anthropology to explore the subject of museums, their objects and employees. Moreover, we include descriptions and commentaries ( in the form of reviews) about particular cases of good and bad museum practices referring to exhibitions, education projects, conferences and publications. The Journal inspires and fosters effective cooperation of anthropologists of different universities and museums.

LUD

LUD

Frequency: 1 issues / Country: Poland

Lud is a renown scholarly journal with over a century of history and a rich tradition that reflects the development of ethnology and cultural anthropology in Poland. Many generations of Polish ethnologists have marked the columns of Lud, both in the field of the ethnographic documentation of culture and in the sphere of theoretical-methodological analysis. Lud publishes strictly scientific texts, which display the wealth and scope of contemporary Polish anthropology, as well as insightful articles in more traditionally understood ethnography, ethnology and adjoining disciplines. The ambition of the editorial team is to initiate debates on the condition and future of Polish ethnology and socio-cultural anthropology, to provide a forum for scientific discussion, to address important social issues, and finally, to promote the values on which anthropology is founded.

Łódzkie Studia Etnograficzne

Frequency: 1 issues / Country: Poland

The idea behind the “ŁSE” journal is to address recent developments in contemporary ethnology (anthropology) and to combine theory with practice. The journal contributes to current ethnologically grounded discussion on culture in its diverse aspects and meanings (theoretical, analytical, diagnostic and practical). Field studies and individually collected empirical data constitute the foundation of all submissions to the “ŁSE”. All manuscripts demonstrate therefore empirical research findings and present theoretical discourse circled around problems investigated by contemporary anthropologists. Since 2015 each ŁSE volume has been focused around a single and distinctive topic. It allows for presenting multiple perspectives and approaches by authors who use diverse methodologies, research designs, analytical tools and represent different theoretical backgrounds.

Teksty zaś przedstawiają wyniki aktualnie prowadzonych badań empirycznych i rozważania teoretyczne dotyczące problematyki zajmującej antropologów. Od 2015 roku przyjęto praktykę wydawania tomów profilowanych tematycznie. Taka formuła pozwala na wielostronne przedstawienie konkretnego tematu przez autorów reprezentujących różne stanowiska metodologiczne, stosujących różne narzędzia badawcze, odmiennie czytających i interpretujących współczesną kulturową rzeczywistość.
