Short Description

Studia Theologica Transsylvaniensia (StThTr) is a peer-reviewed theological journal published annually by the Roman Catholic Seminary of Alba Iulia and the Department of Roman Catholic Pastoral Theology of Babes-Bolyai University. The journal publishes original research articles and book reviews primarily in the fields of biblical, historical, systematic and practical theology, but in the spirit of interdisciplinary dialogue, contributions from disciplines related to theology are also welcome.

Advertising information

The journal mainly publishes papers in Hungarian, but contributions in English (British), German and Italian are also welcome.

The journal comprises four sections:

  1. Research Article: Original research paper submitted for peer review
  2. Workshop Note: Research paper submitted by graduate students with the recommendation of an expert in the field of study
  3. Source: Previously unpublished historical document on the history of the Church in Transylvania
  4. Book Review: Critical presentation of new publications in the field of theology and related disciplines

The aims of the journal:

  • To publish original, high-quality, peer-reviewed studies that make a significant contribution to theological research
  • To promote interdisciplinary dialogue between theology and related disciplines
  • To strengthen theological research in Hungarian
