Short Description

The journal tackles the issues of developing communicative and literary competences in children. In accordance with the scope of the journal the focus is put on both linguistic and literary conceptual foundations as well as on didactic implications regarding mother tongue, second language and literature. A special attention is directed to the developmental aspects, i.e., speech, cognitive and non-cognitive predispositions of children necessary for their communicative and literary development. The journal aspires to contribute to the scientific discussion related to the issues of didactics of language and didactics of literature, which currently lacks the publishing space in Slovakia. The journal is issued twice a year in printed and electronic versions and publishes double-blind peer reviewed studies, papers and reviews in Slovak, Czech and English.
