Summary/Abstract: Serbian Criminal Code provides a new way of prescribing fine, so-called system of fine in daily amounts. Although this system has many advantages compared to the classical system of fine in fixed amount, there are also a lot of difficulties in its implementation, which led to the situation where criminal courts generally do not apply that new system. According to the Criminal Code the system of fine in fixed amount supposed to be used as a subsidiary system, but in practice it remained the main way to pronounce fine.
