Summary/Abstract: Firearm incidents in the context of domestic violence in South East Europe rose steadily between 2019 and 2024, reaching 599 cases and accounting for 3% of all firearm incidents but 23% of related fatalities. Women were the majority of victims, especially in intimate partner violence, where nearly 1 in 4 affected women was killed, and 97% of perpetrators were men. Domestic settings proved the most lethal for women among all firearm-related incident types, with most cases occurring in urban homes and involving mainly handguns.
