Summary/Abstract: Between 2019 and 2024, firearm incidents in the criminal context in South East Europe accounted for about one-sixth of all recorded firearm cases, peaking in 2021 before gradually declining. Armed robberies were the most common type, making up over half of such incidents, while cases linked to organized crime grew until 2023 before dropping in 2024. Most perpetrators were men aged 19–35, and the majority of victims were threatened rather than injured or killed, with handgun use dominating reported incidents.
