Summary/Abstract: Social enterprises, as private initiatives that, on the basis of market principles, strive to respond to challenges and problems in society, are fundamentally determined by the social connections, networks and links that they create with and through their activities. In cooperation with local self-governments, private companies, corporations, but also informal groups of citizens and individuals, social enterprises strive to establish the sustainability of their activities, that is, their products and services. The networks they create serve social enterprises to exchange information, to improve their activities, and to establish communication channels between different interested parties. This nature of social enterprises - dependence on external entities, greatly affects the nature of their activities and sustainability, and above all, the scope of their activities. For these reasons, our idea is to present examples of cooperation between social enterprises and local self-governments, both in Serbia and in the world, in this issue of the Bulletin on Social Entrepreneurship.
