Summary/Abstract: The upcoming revision process of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia should be used to define the position and strengthen the influence of independent bodies. The constitutional definition of independent bodies that act in the field of human rights protection is one of the key steps in strengthening their preventive and control function and ensuring the guarantees of basic rights and freedoms of citizens proclaimed by the Constitution.
