Summary/Abstract: Preparations for the entry of the Republic of Serbia into the European Union, in the broadest sense, mean a change in the social, political, economic, cultural and social system in which certain structures have been functioning until now. Change is a process of a far-reaching nature, which seeks to modify and/or adapt the existing characteristics of structures in order to achieve certain standards that are aspired to. Structures are cognitive in nature and manage during the process of change, while standards represent the existing and/or expected level of development of those same structures. Change, process and standards are social categories of a complex character that, in order to understand their purpose, require an appropriate linguistic and methodological apparatus.
