Summary/Abstract: The author presents financial instruments aimed to support the development of small and medium-sized enterprises during the 2014-2020 period. They could be grouped in two categories: 1) instruments governed directly by the European Investment Bank or the European Investment Fund such as the Junker Plan, COSME, InnovFin, Erasmus+; and 2) instruments managed nationally. The report offers details on the Junker Plan and its features such as the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), cooperation procedures with the national promotional banks, COSME program and guarantees under the InnovFin.
