Summary/Abstract: The academic literature in the last few years has been actively discussing the model of demoicracy as an opportunity for sustainable development of the integration process. This article traces the trajectories of the European Union institutions following the Treaty of Lisbon in terms of the model of democracy and draws some conclusions about the potential applicability of this model in the EU.
