Summary/Abstract: Translation of a literary text implies the repetition of the creative act. Therefore, its result inevitably shows traces of the translator’s subjective approach in the new artistic project. The objective of this study is to present how the recurring choices made by the translator with regard to personal pronouns, inter- and intra-phrasal cohesion, as well as transfer of social and cultural elements, affect communication between the author of the original work and projected reader of the text. Final evaluation of the target text is based on criteria suggested by Antoine Berman that is poeticity and ethicity.
