Summary/Abstract: The current report describes the trends of development in the recruitment practices, implemented by leading organizations in developed economies and companies in Bulgaria during the period of the ongoing World financial and economic crisis. The 'recruitment component' is analyzed as a function of the prevailing business culture in this country. Important social innovations on methods of recruitment in companies are presented here, such as: head-hunting, online resumes, online tests, online interviews, selection of distributors in network marketing, social networks, reality shows, speed interviewing and more.
