Summary/Abstract: The considerations that are presented are devoted to art-based research, indicating the premises of its interdisciplinary applicability in the context of paedagogy. Moreover, the considerations have to do with the indication of the pitfalls of an orthodox approach to the dissonance between the quantitative and the qualitative orientations in methodological research. The purpose of the work is to present a conceptual overview of art-based research which refers to the Mixed Methods Research formula, and which may become an element of organizing exploration in action, peculiar to educational practice.
