Summary/Abstract: The article Badly watched… about the possibilities of interpretations of film during Polish lessons in middle school undertakes the subject of film education during Polish lessons in the third (III) educational stage. The author refers to the Core Curriculum of the Polish language from the year 2009 which imposes obligations on the teacher of introducing the knowledge of film during Polish lessons. The author makes an attempt to research the actual state in reference to the research conducted on behalf of the Polish Institute of Film (2011) and the Institute of Educational Research (Teaching Literature and the Polish Language in light of the new Core Curriculum, 2015). Assuming that watching films does not have a negative influence on the level of literacy, the analysis of the film of Robert Glinski Kamienie na szaniec trans. Stones on the Rampart (2014) shows new possibilities of interpretation opened up by Aleksander Kaminski’s story. The author also tackles the issue of faithfulness to the original and demonstrates how a film adaptation can accompany a literary text during Polish lessons.
