Summary/Abstract: The following paper features the topic of Latin and anatomical equivalents of an eye in Polish, Bulgarian and Slavic languages. The paper is a linguistic description of the individual parts of the eye. It is oriented on translation studies through individual terms consideration on the basis of their equivalents in three Slavic languages. The paper has a comparative nature and its aim is to show lingustic tendencies in the nomenclature of optician anatomic names in the languages mentioned.
