Summary/Abstract: Starting from my experience as Italian translator of Clarín’s collection of short stories El señor y lo demás son cuentos (first edition 1893), in this work I analyze the thematic and stylistic aspects of the texts, focusing mainly on the refined and neat use of language and highlighting the difficulties they present for the translator.
