Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes ways of showing notes written by a person committing suicide in films. The moment of writing the note is an intimate one, an action in which only the suicide takes part. However, depictions of such notes have been appearing in culture for a long time. Film, thanks to its specific possibilities, allows the viewer to not only familiarize themselves with this rarely encountered text, but also to capture the moment of its writing. In this way, creators of cinema allow the viewers to satisfy common curiosity about what a suicide note looks like.
