Summary/Abstract: The discursive turn is seen as an inclusion of art into the disputes taken in the public sphere. In the article three areas of this issue are discussed: the dialogical aesthetics of G. Kester (who postulates debating on the social matters together with the viewers), the relational aesthetics of N. Bourriaud (where a work of art recodes the discourses and creates the alternative narratives), the curatorial turn (as a result of which the works of art become the media of the curatorial ideas). In all cases contemplative understanding of aesthetic experience is to be replaced by the active referring of art to the social ways of understanding the world.
