Summary/Abstract: The article is a review of the biological processes that occur during aging. Theauthor’s analysis is focused around physiological and pathological changeswhich occur in the area of the senses. The author presents the different sensesaccording to the following formula: 1) characteristics of the sense, 2) processof involution in physiological aging, 3) description of potential pathology and4) consequences for human functioning.
