Summary/Abstract: The aim of the project is to develop guidelines for the diagnosis and therapy of residents of Nursing Homes who, due to the material (living), cognitive and social situation, are exposed to withdrawal from any activity. The implementation of a diagnostic and therapeutic model will contribute to determining the problems of residents in the cognitive, communication and language areas. As part of the project, efforts will be made to reduce diagnosed dysfunctions in the form of individual therapy and group activities, which will result in greater activity of residents in the communication and social spheres. The discussed project will be implemented on a pilot basis in three Krakow nursing homes which report the need to undertake such activities and include the care of following persons: 1) bedridden patients, 2) staying in neurological and psychiatric treatment, 3) with intellectual disability. The first stage of the pilot study assumes carrying out a diagnosis of all residents of the nursing home (minimum 100 people) and selecting people with communication problems who will be given individual classes. For other people, group integration classes are to be offered, including music and drama classes.
