Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of this paper is to explore the place of the Bulgarian dubitative on the semantic maps of both the evidentiality and the epistemic modality. As dubitative is rarely being expressed on its own, researchers on typology do not focus on it that often, hence its absence on the semantic maps, which in fact motivates the need for this study.
