Summary/Abstract: The presented article consists of the analysis of work as a value in particular structures of social categories (physics, biology, praxeology, economics, medicine, technology, occupation). It characterizes human work aspects such as: technical and economic, psychological and moral, social and cultural. There is a presentation of five definitions closely associated with occupation, such as: professional work, work as a value, work features, occupation and its attributes, professional success, personal and occupational culture.
