Summary/Abstract: Marta Buczek, the author of the article The human identity in the Slovak prose of the naturismus, analyzes the problem of the identity in the type of Slovak lyrical prose known as the naturismus which was developing in the inter-war period. She focuses on the philosophical problem of human identity in the works of Ľudo Ondrejov, Margita Figuli,František Švanter and Hana Zelinová. The author refers to philosophical concepts of neo-Romanticism, Nietzsche, Kierkegaard, Schelling and Bergson (which were very popularin the inter-war literature) in order to interpret the ahistorical, timeless and individual concept of human identity which is based on an archaic and mythic world, irrationalism, mythic consciousness and subconsciousness, biological and multidimensional personality, impulsive and instinctive reaction of characters identified with nature.
