Summary/Abstract: The study investigates the subject of work attitudes of young people represented by Generation Y. The growing importance of this issue results from the fact that on the current labour market the encounters between representatives of different generations take place – from generation of traditionalists, through the Generation X and Y and representatives of the youngest generations called R. The contact between these generations in the workplace, due to representing different attitudes towards work, poses a problem in terms of staff management and is a challenge for HR units. Mutual understanding of the different perception of work as the life value seems to be also crucial for the effective performance of managerial functions. The aim of the study is to analyze the results of the research conducted by the author in terms of students’ attitudes towards work.
