Summary/Abstract: Although often perceived as standard, technologies have a significant behavioral component. The paper examines the cultural foundation of AI from a cross-cultural perspective. National culture has implications for AI perception patterns, trust-building mechanisms, and the expectations regarding human-machine interactions. The validity of the individualism–collectivism dimension is confirmed in predicting behavioral characteristics during the implementation and use of AI in different cultural contexts within the system of international business.
