Summary/Abstract: This article examines how media ecosystems and real-time digital publicness transform crisis governance and communication by compressing the temporal parameters of political and administrative response. The study focuses on the case of the flash flood in the Elenite resort complex in October 2025, during which real-time media coverage coincided with an accelerated process of institutional decision-making, including the public announcement of the demolition of a structure linked to illegal interventions in the riverbed. Through content and discourse analysis of national and international media, combined with a chronological examination of public statements and political actions, the article advances the argument that digitally accelerated visibility of the crisis led to a compression of the traditional cycle of public attention and political decision-making. The study proposes a conceptual elaboration of the notion of media compression of policies, understood as a process of synchronization between public outrage, institutional communication, and governance action under conditions of real-time media operation. The article contributes to ongoing debates on crisis communication, political legitimacy, and democratic public discourse in the digital environment, while also accounting for national speci¿cities.
