Summary/Abstract: This study focuses on selected science ¿ction ¿lms that address existential themes, including the nature of reality (both objective and perceived), the human condition, and the meaning of existence. Technological reality is an environment in which technology plays a central role. It is characterized by the integration of digital devices, networks, software, and automated systems. Technological reality is driven by innovation and the pursuit of more e൶cient, useful and intelligent communication processes. The article offers a provocative analysis of the impact of rapidly evolving technologies – artificial intelligence1, virtual reality and augmented reality – on our perception of reality. Classic science fiction ¿lms such as Blade Runner, The Matrix, Avatar, Robo-Cop and The Hunger Games, among others, are used to illustrate the complex philosophical and ethical dilemmas these technologies raise.VR, AR and neurotechnology are discussed in turn, supported by specific film examples. The main aim of the paper is to provoke reflection on the meaning of life, freedom of will, and the nature of reality in the context of technological progress.
