Summary/Abstract: This article traces the development of artificial intelligence and the progress in human-machine communication. A comparative observation of different models of human-machine interaction with artificial intelligence is made. Works of famous scientists are analysed. Ideas embedded in science fiction movies in the past are part of our lives today. The article makes a comparative observation of the communication between humans and AI machines through the eyes of several film directors. Topics addressed include the responsibility of builders of artificial intelligence machines towards their creations and the ethical boundary between humanity and machines. The consequences of irresponsible AI development can be disastrous. Films, provoking thoughts about the impact of AI on our lives, the ethics of human-machine relationships, and the consequences of creating intelligent machines with built-in functionalities for making decisions, are analyzed.
