Summary/Abstract: The main research objective of this article was an attempt to analyze the relationship between the level of officiated football matches and the health behaviors of football referees. The article focused on analyzing habits that have both positive and negative effects on health. The scope of the analysis includes, among other things, preventive actions, practices related to body recovery, and the use of substances. The research method used was a diagnostic survey employing a questionnaire technique. The research tool used was a questionnaire directed at active professional football referees in Poland. The article presents part of the results from research conducted in 2022, which confirm that referees are concerned with their health. This is evidenced by factors such as the majority of respondents not using stimulants and taking care of health prevention and body regeneration. Respondents were also asked about the main motivation for officiating. The most frequently mentioned purpose was pursuing their passion and maintaining an active lifestyle, which can be considered health-promoting activities. In conclusion, the article presents an overview of the research results and the conclusions drawn from the conducted research process.
