Summary/Abstract: This paper explores the relationship between linguistics and anthropology/ethnology/ ethnography.Which issues/data from anthropology/ethnology are taken over and used by linguistics, in which forms, and how these can be relevant to other humanistic disciplines, scientific communities or an individual? The paper tries to answer these questions, discussing further the possibility of secondary usage of ethnographic/ anthropological records that have been analyzed by linguistics. A discussion of ethnological utilization of linguistics is omitted in this paper (most of the time, it was a misuse of some etymological or obsolete solutions); instead we present the current fieldwork possibilities.
