Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the work of Mykola Leontovych and Borys Lyatoshynsky in the context of Jagiellonian principles in shaping their intellectual biographies. The scientific novelty of the research lies in identifying the cultural phenomenon of Jagiellonian cultural tradition in the formation of the intellectual biography of prominent authors in Ukrainian culture and art. Based on the analysed material, it has been found that the symbolist stylistic preferences of M. Leontovych and B. Lyatoshynsky, which marked the beginning of their creative work, exerted a significant influence on their subsequent activities, carrying the Jagiellonian potential for national harmony between the ideals of Western and Eastern Europe. Symbolist principles of thought fostered the creation of complex metaphorical compositions of images in the works of these artists, considering the importance of form, means of expression, folk melodies, and their compatibility or contradiction with musical symbolism. This gave their work a deeper artistic dimension.
