Summary/Abstract: The report examines the role of forest fires as a factor in potential political destabilization. The fires in Bulgaria in the period 2020-2024 and specific events during the crisis years 2024 and 2025 are analyzed. It examines how large-scale natural disasters affect public trust, institutional resilience and political stability. Institutional preparedness, public trust and political consequences are analyzed, and strategic recommendations and policies for managing such crises are proposed.
