Summary/Abstract: The article presents an analysis of the role of women in Tunisia amid the democratic transformations following 2011, tracing the historical and cultural preconditions as well as the key legislative changes in the country. The postrevolutionary period is characterized by the adoption of reforms that strengthened the principle of gender parity and expanded opportunities for women’s participation in the political process. Despite the progress achieved, since 2022 a regression has been observed, marked by a return to traditional social models, highlighting the fragility of women’s rights in the context of political instability.
