Summary/Abstract: Projects are becoming increasingly important for institutional development, fundraising and supporting education and cultural initiatives. Effective project management highly affects the success or failure of these specific and unique undertakings. Despite the advancement in project management, organizations in Albania face difficulties and challenges when they engage in projects. This study examines success factors, measurement approaches, and causes of failure in projects undertaken by educational organizations. It intends to enhance the design and implementation of projects in the Albanian context, by generalizing the findings of the study for a variety of fields where projects are a common approach of organizing the activities.
