Summary/Abstract: Over the years the scope of circular economy (CE) research has expanded and filled certain previously existing gaps. Studies in EU countries are also developing in new directions. The aim of this paper is to track and analyse the scope of published articles on CE in Scopus journals, with Bulgaria as a main country of this study. The scope of the research includes a literature review from 2015 to 2025 in areas such as economics, business and management, econometrics and finance, agricultural and biological sciences. The limited number of publications in these areas gives a reason not only to show the achieved level of articles in refereed journals on the topic of CE in Bulgaria, but also to make some recommendations for researchers and interested business circles in Bulgaria.
